Improving Emotional Intelligence, or EQ is central to work I do for organisations.  Emotional intelligence is widely recognised as a valuable skill that helps improve communication, perseverance, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influence and relationships within the workplace. 

 

An individual with high EQ will typically:-

  • Make better decisions and solve problems more effectively

  • Keep calm under pressure

  • Resolve conflicts more fairly

  • Have greater empathy with a broad range of people

  • Listen, reflect, and respond appropriately to others  

 

An individual with low EQ is more inclined to:-

  • Have passive or aggressive communication styles

  • Avoid personal responsibility or play the role of the victim

  • Refuse to work as a team  

  • Be overly critical of others

  • Not be open to the opinions of others
